Hitron network router

Hitron CGNVM User’s Guide 2.1.10 Modulation Transmissions over the cable network are based on a strong, high frequency periodic waveform known as the “carrier wave.” This carrier wave is so called because it “carries” the data signal.

The CGNM-2250 delivers speeds of up to 960Mbps with twenty-four bonded downstream channels over its DOCSIS interface. The integrated four-port Gigabit Ethernet switch and Wi-Fi 3×3 802.11n+802.11ac dual-band MIMO Access Point enable fast and easy home entertainment networking.
  • Log into your Hitron gateway settings: Type 192.168.0.1 and enter your network password, then go to Wireless, then 2.4G, and change the Primary SSID setting to WPA-PSK (we had ours at WPA2-PSK and that would not allow Garmin to connect). Thus far, my Chromebook, MacBook Air, and cell phones are all operating under these Hitron gateway settings!
  • With the Hitron CGNM-2250 you have access to two WiFi networks: a 2.4 GHz network and 5.0 GHz network. 2.4 GHz is the more commonly used network type and is the network that you should choose to connect to by default, as not all devices will be able to see or connect to the 5.0 GHz network.
  • Learn how to set up and configure your Local Area Network (LAN) through your Hitron router settings. Customize your business router networking settings with these tips. Local Area Network (LAN) setup These are your internal router settings and advanced use may require consulting your IT department.
