Since the raw image from a Dexis Platinum sensor is actually rather poor it is very important that you have the original Dexis Platinum calibration file installed which you would have received with your initial purchase. Also, Dexis has programmed the Dexis Imaging Suite to actually not allow a Dexis Platinum dental x-ray sensor to function at all if the correct calibration file is not installed. This is more than likely due to the fact that the raw Dexis Platinum x-ray image is very poor and needs significant correction when the image is processed in the Dexis Imaging Suite.
First it is important to know what you are looking for. Dexis Platinum calibration files are named as follows:
- 012345678_dark.flf
- 012345678_dfm.dfm
- 012345678_flat.flf
With Dentrix Mobile, emergencies don’t manage your free time, you do. If a patient calls you at home for emergency treatment, you can use Dentrix Mobile to immediately see the next opening. You can also search for appointments by patient name, see the schedules of your associates, and add notes to appointments—right from your tablet. From your mobile device, in the address bar of your Internet browser, type mobile.ident.com. Note: When you access Dentrix Mobile from mobile.ident.com or mobile.dentrix.com, Dentrix Mobile detects what hardware you are using and opens the website with the appropriate view (smart phone or slate). However, if you want to display Dentrix.
**Note: 012345678 in the file names above will reflect the serial number of your sensor. If you have multiple Dexis Platinum sensors in your office be sure that the file names you are sending to Sodium Dental have the correct serial number in the file name. The serial number should match the sensor that you have in for your Dexis Platinum sensor repair.
The three file names above are what we are looking for and are what Sodium Dental x-ray repair technicians need in order to properly test your Dexis Platinum x-ray sensor repair.
Using the original Disc (CD) to email the Dexis Platinum calibration files:
- Insert disc into workstation
- Press the “Start” button or Windows logo button in the bottom left hand corner of the Windows toolbar
- Click on “My Computer” (or “Computer” if running Windows 7 and above)
- Double click on your disc drive to view the Dexis Platinum calibration files
- Verify the serial number in the calibration files matches the Dexis Platinum sensor you have in for repair
- With your mouse: click, drag, and highlight all three of the Dexis Platinum calibration files
- Open a new email in your email program
- Click and drag the Dexis Platinum calibration files over to your new email
- Send this email to [email protected]
- That’s it!
If your original Dexis Platinum calibration file disc (CD) is not available use the following steps to retrieve the calibration file from a computer.
Retrieving Dexis Platinum calibration files from a computer workstation:
**Note: In order for this to work it is important that you are on a computer that has had the Dexis Platinum sensor installed.
- Click the “Start” button in the bottom left hand corner of the Windows toolbar
- Click on “My Computer” (or “Computer” if on a Windows 7 or newer computer)
- Double click on the C: drive
- In the C: drive look for the “Dexis” folder and double click it with your mouse to open. If there is not a “Dexis” folder then double click on the “Program Files” folder
- Once inside the “Dexis” folder, double click on the “FlashDir” folder
- You should now see your calibration files in the “FlashDir” folder
- With your mouse: click, drag, and highlight all three of the Dexis Platinum calibration files
- Open a new email in your email program
- Click and drag the Dexis Platinum calibration files over to your new email
- Send this email to [email protected]
- That’s it!
